Founded by the Umbrians, after the Roman conquest Assisi becomes an important Roman municipality. Thanks to trade in the Middle Ages it is a lively town from which the revolution of Saint Francis and its Minor Friars starts. In their honor are built the great Basilicas and many artists come to work here. Our walk begins from the oldest part of the city and ends at the Basilica of Saint Francis. UNESCO heritage from the year 2000 Assisi is the destination of millions of tourists and we will walk with them or also go in search of the less known and picturesque corners that make this city a "special place".
